A Vast Array of Gel Press® Plates for all your creative needs.

Petites Gel Press® Mono Printing Plate
EnviroTex® Jewelry Making Resin
Round Mold:  Silacone clay, or art mold, candy mold, soap mold, etc
Brayer, Paints:  Yellow and Blue
Crystal Effects:  Fine glitter by USAQ
Graphic print on vellum or any small clear collage image
Jump ring
Awl or pointed stick
Orange gel pen
Fibers: length enough to make a necklace with

1.  Print out your vellum graphic (my design), or cut your vellum collage image with scissors.  A circle punch will give you the most precise circle.  Remember:  the vellum graphic and print need to fit in the circle mold.

2.  Create a print using one of your Petites Gel Press® plates that will fit the project.  I used more blue and a little yellow, blending out the blue, cleaning brayer on scratch paper and then brayer the yellow into the blue.  Immediately, while the paint is still wet; I sprinkle some Crystal Effects onto the surface.  Cut or punch the circle to fit the mold.

3.  Place dried circle print into mold, and vellum image first, face down.  I accented the buttons on the guy with orange gel pen.  Then place your cut mono printed design on top.

4.  Following the package instructions, mix the two resin components, pour into another cup and pour into mold.

5.  Do not worry about bubbles.  As you see in the pouring photo, they all settle quite nicely!  If for some reason you see a bubble after you have poured, a paper clip or any thin item can pop it.  The awl will work fine too.  The product set up quite nicely.

NOTE:  For drying times, take in account the humidity in your area!  I live in a real humid state, and so I let it dry longer.

6.  After about 1 hour or 2, I used an awl and made a hole in the top.  I pushed the awl in and for me, I left it for 15 minutes.  You can also push a finding into the resin and leave it dry that way.  I didn't have a finding handy so, this is what was done with the awl.

7.  Once the resin is set, I waited the 48 hours so that the hole set, pop it out of the mold.  I highly recommend the silicone molds.  Pliable and nothing sticks!  I know I could of left it overnight or 24 hours, but wanted to make sure it was cured.

8. Attach the jump ring (I had a type that no pliers were required).  Thread fibers through the jump ring and tie in a knot at top.  Cut extra fiber that may hang off.  Put over your head to wear!!!

I am excited and ready to create Christmas jewelry, and other items!!!  EnviroTex® and Gel Press® are the perfect components to great art!!!
